1. Ties share a place
Pilots on the same score share the same place. At the start of a round, a pilot still on 0 shows a dash instead of a place, because nobody has earned a position yet. See points.
Free For All has no teams. Every other ship in the arena is a target, the round lasts 5 minutes, and the pilot with the highest score when time runs out wins. Here is how the rules play out when nobody has your back. Free in the browser. Steam Coming Soon (app 4296990).
| Rule | What the game does |
|---|---|
| Sides | None. Every other pilot is an enemy |
| Rooms | Free For All players get their own rooms, separate from Team Clash |
| Round length | 5 minutes (Team Clash rounds run 10) |
| Win | Highest score when time runs out |
| Round end | The card says You won, or names the winner and puts your points next to theirs with your finishing place |

You respawn at the last base you built first. Without one, a death moves your spawn far from where you died, anywhere on the map. See respawn.
With no teammates to call, a map ping is shown to every ship nearby. Enemy pings still draw on your screen, but they do not chime. See comms.
On touch, a light aim assist nudges your shot while FIRE is held. It only helps toward a living enemy you are already aiming close to, never one that is invincible. In team modes it also skips teammates; in Free For All there are no teammates to skip. See mobile.
