1. Earn score in the round
Your score in the round is what climbs the ladder. Cross the next threshold and you rank up on the spot, mid-fight.
In CLASHROIDS your rank is what your score has earned you, and it decides which weapons, structures and upgrades you are allowed to buy. It starts at rank 1, it climbs to rank 6, and it survives the end of the round. On the web it resets when you leave. On Steam it is saved, so your pilot keeps the rank they fought for. Free in the browser. Steam Coming Soon (app 4296990), wishlist toward 10K+.
| Rank | Score needed | What opens |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | 0 | Your starting ship and the Radar upgrade (levels 1 and 2) |
| 2 | 100 | Laser weapon, aerodynamic tail, laser turrets and shield generators, Rotation and Speed, Shield level 1, Boost levels 1 and 2 |
| 3 | 500 | Power upgrade levels 1 and 2, Shield level 2, Boost level 3 |
| 4 | 1,500 | Power level 3 and Shield level 3 |
| 5 | 5,000 | A bigger crown bounty if you lead the round |
| 6 | 15,000 | MAX RANK, and the biggest bounty on your head |
The HUD shows a rank bar with how much score you still need. Each rank-up pops a RANK UP card that names what you just unlocked. Level 3 upgrades also need you to be standing on a 7-hex fortress.
Your score in the round is what climbs the ladder. Cross the next threshold and you rank up on the spot, mid-fight.
Fly onto your base and the upgrade menu only sells tiers your rank has reached. A locked tier is stamped with the rank it needs, like RANK 3, or 7-HEX if it needs a fortress.
Scores and upgrades reset each round. Rank and resources carry over, so a high rank lets you rebuild to the top tiers faster.
Whoever leads the standings wears a crown worth 100 per rank they hold. Whoever lands the killing blow collects it. See bounty.
